My PE Goal
My goal is to have more dairy each meal, so I will have milk at lunch. I normally only have a bit of dairy at breakfast, the milk in the cereal, so I need more dairy.
Why Breakfast is the most Important meal of the Day
First of all the meaning is breakfast is important to know. The 'break' part means break, and fast means to not eat. So breakfast is breaking the fast, in other words its finally eating after a long period without eating. Another basic reason is you use the most energy in the day is after breakfast. After lunch you still use energy, but just until you sleep. In addition, people who eat breakfast are more alert. If you eat breakfast in the morning you won't feel hungry. If you feel hungry you are most likely to eat a bunch of junk.

Ancient Eqyptian Artifact
Before Christmas break, all sixth grade students had to choose an artifact, research it, then designed a presentation about the artifact. The artifact I chose was the ancient Egyptian funerary cone. The reason I chose it was because no one really knew what it was, and neither did I before I started researching. So then when I did my presentation it wouldn't be as boring because it would be all new information. I was about to get a water bottle and shape the cone around it with clay, but then my mom suggested getting cardboard paper and rolling it into a cone. That worked so much easier because the clay wouldn't stick to the plastic bottle, but actually stuck to the paper. To make it strong on the inside, I stuffed it with plastic bags so it would not collapse. After I covered the whole outside of the cone with clay and stuffed the inside, I filled the rest of the top with clay. I then wrote my name in hieroglyphics on the top. The problem with using the funerary cone for my artifact was that there were only theories of what they are used for. There was not much scientific research put into discovering the funerary cone either. This experience definitely taught me that having good research doesn't cut it, you need to have repetitive rehearsal.

Reaction Time Experiment
This is an video to tell you how to test the speed of your nerves, or reaction.
You need to find a worthy partner, two rubber bands and two 30cm rulers. Then you figure out who is testing, and who is being tested. Watch the video to see how to do the procedure. Our hypothesis was that the dominant hand would be faster than the non-dominant hand.
The independent variable is how long it takes to catch the ruler. The dependent variable is the difference between the reaction of the dominant and non-dominant hand. And the controlled variables are where the ruler drops from, position of arms, position of fingers etc.
Steps:
1.Get a friend or a family member to do this experiment with you.
your thumb make sure that you don't put too much pressure on the rubber band you should just put enough that the rubber band won't stretch too much just a little.
3. Get your partner to line up the ruler with your index finger you should align the 0 centimetre point with your index finger.
4. Your partner will drop the ruler unexpectedly then you have to catch the ruler before it falls down on the floor. Lets say you got a hold of the ruler at 6cm then you have to record it on to a graph.

The Components of Physical Fittness
You don't have to be an olympic athlete or triathlon champ to be fit, for most people can't, but just about anyone can become a physically fit individual. In this article you will learn why and how to be fit in each category.
Cardiorespiratory endurance is how good your heart, blood vessels, and lungs are able to nutrients and oxygen and nutrients through your body. It is also your ability for all those organs and blood vessels to remove waste efficiently. In general it means your endurance on the track.
Muscular strength
- the ability of a muscle to produce force
- the amount of weight you can lift is a measure of this
Muscular endurance
- the ability of your muscles to work for an extended time
Flexibility
- the ability to move a joint through its entire range

Sportsmanship
Sportsmanship is playing fair, following the rules of the game respecting the calls by referee and treating opponents with respect. You should demonstrate sportsmanship because it shows character. Any good athlete should show sportsmanship because they most times have people looking up to them. Anyways, no one likes a cocky, rude athlete. After a game or match, I shook the hands and tried to compliment each opposing player with a key point from the game.

Dr. Joseph Goldberger and Pellagra
It showed that the prisoners either were stupid and just opening them up to a life threatening disease, or they didn't believe Dr. Goldberger’s theory. The choice to experiment on people was his only choice. He couldn't experiment on mice or other animals because it was a serious disease impacting thousands, and if he experimented on other animals, different results would come up.
